Our team is made up of four tennis business owners. With a collective experience within the sporting industry of over 100 years, spanning a wide range of different organisations, schools and large commercial operators.

Gary is an LTA Level 4 Performance Coach and the current Head Coach at Sawbridgeworth Tennis Club in Hertfordshire. With over a decade of experience as a Head Coach—including time as Racquets Manager for an operator overseeing six sites across London—he brings both strategic leadership and hands-on expertise to his role.
Over the years, Gary has worked with players at every stage of the game, from county and national competitors to international athletes, including those pursuing collegiate tennis careers in the USA. His coaching philosophy blends technical precision with a focus on long-term player development, ensuring each individual reaches their potential.
Away from the court, Gary enjoys cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. He is also a passionate Formula One fan, never missing the chance to follow the latest race action.
Tom has been coaching for nearly 20 years, working with players of all ages and abilities. As Head Coach at DWLTC for the past 16 years, he has developed a strong reputation for consistently delivering the support and expertise needed to help both the committee and the club’s community thrive.
He is currently working towards the prestigious Level 5 Director of Tennis qualification—the highest coaching award in the UK.
Tom continues to compete, playing on the ITF Masters Tour, representing his county at the Seniors County Cup, and captaining his club in the National Premier League.
Off the court, Tom is a proud father of two and enjoys watching his children compete in a variety of activities. A passionate boxing fan, he has also taken part in three white-collar charity fights, raising money for good causes each time.

Rob is an LTA Level 4 coach with 20 years of coaching experience. Having been immersed in tennis for most of his life—as a junior and senior player, official, and now coach—he brings a unique understanding of every facet of the game. His strength lies in connecting these experiences to help players succeed.
In 2007, Rob co-founded Making Aces, which grew into one of the largest providers of tennis coaching and tournaments in Essex. Since 2012, he has combined his role as Head Coach at Lexden Rackets and Fitness Club with his position as Director of Tennis at Holmwood House School.
Beyond tennis, Rob is a dedicated father of two and a passionate football fan ⚽.
James has been involved in tennis for over 30 years, beginning when he joined his first club and quickly progressed to competitive league matches. Now an experienced Level 4 coach, he has spent the past 12 years running his own coaching company, which at its peak delivered sessions to more than 1,000 players each week across ten venues.
He has worked with players of all levels, from beginners to county and regional competitors, and even US collegiate athletes.
Away from the court, James holds a degree in Business Management and enjoys both playing and watching a wide range of sports—especially football and baseball. A devoted Manchester United fan and Toronto Blue Jays supporter, he is also a proud father to his “12-going-on-25” daughter.
